HEY KIDS! IT’S PEARL HARBOR DAY

December 7, 2010

President Roosevelt went LIVE on the radio:

“December Seventh, Nineteen-Forty-one….A Day That Will Live….

IN INFAMY!”

It turned out to be totally TRUE, as I believe that we have had a

December 7th

Every Year Since.

That is the funny way that I think about     stuff     although I am

By No Means

MAKING FUN

This was a tragic event in our history, and tragic events can be learned from and

then (possibly)

Not Repeated.

EXCEPT:

Interestingly, the people who were around then are the people who learned the lesson.

People that came later (let’s call them  “kids”)

DID NOT live through it, so maybe they did not learn the same powerful lesson

(…More like a   “lessen”)

So that every generation has received a smaller dose of 1940s era patriotism

More people will remember 9/11

As there are many many MORE PEOPLE ON EARTH

(strangely, Lots LESS are listening to the radio)

HINT:

If we are to learn from history and tragedy…..

Historical Tragedy…Tragical History….Or Mr. Peabody’s History

A good idea would be to LEARN from the mistakes of others (historically speaking).

For example:

Near the end of the

DEBacle

that was Ancient Rome…

They were fighting a few wars~

There was dissension in government~

and lots of corruption and freaky nastiness going on.

Morale  sucked

Rome fell…

I am thinking that it kinda sounds like well like well

like

well

NOW!

America:

Beware the Ides of March

And guys with knives

named Brutus.

(That’s all I’m sayin’)
